Resigner Luth

Resigner Luth is a writer, a reader, and a bit of a rebel. At the moment, she is also tired of making the same old mistakes. My tolerance for posers, fakers and leeches are done. I need to let go but, the story is not complete. Will never be complete until I bow out, which is not going to happen. At least not yet.

Making the same mistakes

Making the same mistakes

Making the same mistakes

The revolving door

The revolving door

The revolving door

The revolving door.

~ It is alive and well, leeching on our memories. Especially the ones we need to let go.

Making the same mistakes.

When you are constantly looking at the past, you will not mend fast enough.

  1. Broken Heart

In the dimly lit room of an old, abandoned study, Mara sat surrounded by stacks of dusty photo albums. Each page turned was a journey into the past, a bittersweet reminder of happier times.

She had been a rebel with a cause. Now she was fighting against the ache in her heart that seemed insurmountable.

Every photograph captured moments of joy, love, and laughter, but they were all distant memories now, fragments of a life that felt like a dream slipping through her fingers.

Mara lingered on a particular picture, her finger tracing the outline of a smile that once belonged to someone dear to her. The pain of loss felt raw, as if the wound in her heart was still fresh, refusing to heal. She wondered if she would ever find solace in these images, or if they would forever serve as a painful reminder of what she had lost.

II. Strength in Reflection

As days turned into nights, week after week, Mara found herself drawn back to the photographs more times that she could count. Yet, amidst the sorrow and longing, she began to discover a quiet strength growing within her.

With each tear shed and each memory revisited, she found solace in the wisdom of the past. The faces in the photographs seemed to speak to her. Offering guidance and advise from a realm beyond her reach.

Through the wise advice of those who came before her, Mara learned to embrace the pain as part of her journey, rather than allowing it to define her. She realized that true strength came not from avoiding heartbreak, but from facing it head-on and emerging stronger on the other side.

Each passing day, she found herself standing a little taller, her spirit unbroken despite the scars that adorned her heart.

III. Living and Letting go

As time went on, Mara found herself opening up to the possibility of companionship once more. She had learned that a broken heart was not the end of her story, but merely a chapter in the book of her life.

With newfound courage and resilience, she approached each day with a sense of hope and optimism, knowing that she was capable of weathering any storm that came her way.

Gone were the days of holding back, afraid of getting hurt again. Mara lived and loved with abandon, savoring every moment as if it were her last.

She now understood that love was not about avoiding pain, but about embracing it as part of the human experience.

In doing so, she found a constant that was deeper and more meaningful than the idea of 'falling in love'. Her once broken heart had healed. Her idea of what love meant had evolved. Mara realized that life was more about learning to deal with broken promises, that ultimately she held the keys to happiness within herself. Keys she would hold onto until the day came where a new smile would erase the old.
