Writing...keeps me sane. Writing on the laptop DRIVES me insane. Nothing is working, get that submarine down to the cables. Pretty please? 🆘

~ And she whispered: "Remember me."

If I could, I would. We made a perfect team, and I confess, life is more complex than we both could imagine.

We should have grown up not apart.

In hindsigt everything makes sense. Except we were so focused on the future, we did not dare look back.

Swim, he said.

You taught me to swim -

you threw me into water.

Laughed, when I refused to get out.

You stopped the car and said "drive or walk" -

and I drove.

I suppose you never told me you had my back,

you knew I knew.

Deal, said I, and don't…

but you could not, would not listen.

Was it the way I spoke?

My icy stare clashing with your peculiar mood?

So we said goodbye, neither of us shed a tear

Yet, here we are today, under the same roof -

And you say: Tomorrow.

I wished you said: Today

For those of you who do not have the privilege of having an older brother. It's not always fun, it can be horrid, it can be fun. Let's face it: one day my parents had to sit him down and explain to him "You are going to have to protect her, no matter what!"

(Not exactly the way I would have broken the news, hippie parents.)

Too late for take-backs.

Besides, since he is the older one I was the one who got this speech at the tender age of twenty-one:

"He is your brother, take care of him." And a twenty years later: "You'll take care of your brother, won't you?"

So I'm officially at my wits end. With all these foreboding instructions, I am in two minds? Neither one is pleasant. Half of my brain is asking "why?", a quarter is asking the obvious questions. And the last part is complaining.

That's a wrap. Before I do/say something wicked. (Hey, I love him, "like" comes and goes (^◕.◕^)

Go, dear reader. Have a blast, and come back when we're all back to normal. I would say soon, but who knows? Bloody rocks and natural disasters.

🪝Anyone up for another Barbie? Twist my arm.

(P.s. ☝️is a hate crime, punishment will be severe! )
