Poet, artist, DIY-er, etc. Sometimes it's O.K. to not be O.K. We try to win every battle, but with age you learn to choose which battles are worth your time. Not always cheering on the winning team is EXACTLY what you NEED. Check in with reality. People live there! ☮️💜© Summer solstice in the UK? In my hemispere it will be the longest night of the year!

☝️Exactly. FYI my dolls do not talk to me ^_~
Friend Found Nation?
How would you describe your friends to new friends? Therein lies the truth.
To which lengths do you go to protect them? Fiercely loyal when it suits you? Not GOOD enough. A loyal friend has one's back, no matter the cost and consequence to themselves.
Fill in the speech bubbles 💬
One Rule: no hate speech, though I am thinking that by making that rule, most of my friends are going to do their upmost best to break it. Sounds predictable. (I've seen the future…it's looping).
My idea of friendship? Be real, give a push when needed. At other times, hang in there. I should say just hold me down. (Like a parent does when driving their offspring to school, one hand always shooting out to stop the kid from flying through a window.) Hope you have those type of friends!
Ok, fan Fiction… let's dance.
Cinders, making new friends.
~ Recap: Cinder's was imprisoned, left to die, when a "Life spider" found her. Angels walking amongst us.

Life-Aid
After weeks of quarrel, the Spider watches as Cinders sleeps. He feels an unfamiliar emotion, one that makes his joints ache. Familiar yet uncomfortable. He knows he has no blood; therefore, he has no blood relatives. This thought comforts him.
He has finished his work for this strange young woman, but he feels a strange longing.
"She truly is beautiful " he thinks aloud. He wonders why it took him this long to see, the way she radiates light. Knowing that she'll never see herself the way he does. In that moment, he realises that he will miss her.
Also coming to terms with the fact that he must let her go. She has a grand destiny, plans laid long before her birth. This he knows. This is the future that frightens him. Trembling, he starts a new yarn.
A memory to cherish.
II.
Awakening
As Cinders opens her eyes, now accustomed to the tarry darkness in the well, she calls to her friend.
"Mister Spider, where are you?" She hears no reply. With a heavy sigh, she mutters to herself:
"Just a dream. There is no life here, just my overactive imagination". Shaking her head, she stands up painfully. Feeling a pang of loss. A well of new grief inside her soul.
She spots the words she had crawled into the wall. Except they are now obscured by cobwebs. She realizes something new has replaced her words. Digging into the muddy wall, clawing at it like a caged beast, she uncovers something incredible. A type of material unknown to her.
In her fist, washed clean by fresh rain:
A butterfly? Trapped in spider's silk!
"What to do with you?" she thinks to herself, wishing she could go back to sleep, and speak with the spider.
"Think!" she screams loudly. Attracting the lone guard's attention, for the first time.
"Oi, you" he yells down at her. "What have you got there? I demand that you give it to me." Stamping his foot like an over-grown man/child.
Cinders smiles up at him coyly.
"You want it? Come down here and take it."
Knowledge running through her blood, making every sense tingle. Hearing the soft flapping of plastic wings murmuring "This is how you lay a proper trap".
~Fin.
⨔Keep on reading. Coming up Red and Cinders - back together.
Best of luck to you dear reader. Remember we move forward here. Slow and steady sometimes wins the race. Even by a hair, a win is still a win. Just breathe though those growing pains. Those "getting too old pains" too! 😘
