Resigner Luth

Resigner Luth is a fantasy writer. Writing on a Saturday again. Some days, being one's own boss is not all that interesting. If you want to mess with your body clock, please start writing. There, don't say I did not warn you.

Few things ruin my day more than someone with double standards. It is a pretty long list, but lying, cheating and then lying about cheating?

That, and actually being called over-reacting when I take a defensive position. Act your age. I belong to me. Period. Your silly little games, and sloppy pet names are not welcome. Enough said.

Red lips and war.

"I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts" she whispered into the fools ear.

"I don't understand" says the fool.

"Do you ever read?" she asked. Her red lips brushing his ear.

Now, she did not really expect an answer. She'd spent more than enough time watching him. Knew more about his sordid affairs and violent nature than she cared for. Knew too that if she did not stop him, he would play out his sick fantasies again.

"Answer me this? When I walked into your private suite tonight. How did you really think this would play out?" She recalled him talking a little bit too loudly for someone who secretly tipped the bartender to replace the whisky in his glass with iced tea.

"No one knows I'm even here…you recall your act in the bar? Do you remember telling everyone that you were too drunk to stand?" she pauses. If the man had any sense he would stop the stupid act, right now.

"Listen, you wh.."

She places a finger to his lips, "watch your language Warden, I'm not the only one listening."

Suddenly, he seems to realize that this is not the game he expected.

"You know nothing and can prove even less!" he spits at her.

"Wrong, again." she smiles. A smile that he thought he could wipe of her face. That same confident smile he wanted to destroy. Had planned to destroy for the past four hours. He tries to clench his fist, when he realizes something is very wrong.

"Oh, I wouldn't worry. It's the same cocktail you've used at least four times." Four times in the past year. No one knew how long it took him to get the dosage right, except that he left four young woman terrified but alive. Two could not live with the memories, the other two had found other ways of coping. None of them had a future.

Leaving you to ponder, dear reader. Asking myself why I have been a little short on sugar recently?

Resigner💜

Now, I am pretty sure you do have something better to do. I know I do. Keep on smiling, it confuses people and pretty soon you're brain will be infected with laughter too. This is and always will be a GOOD thing.

🪝Keep on reading. Cinders is bored, and raising an army takes superhuman effort. Except, she is human. My "super girl". 😉
